Serums, moisturizers, toners, cleansers and oils: you might have tried it all to get rid of your troubled skin. There are a lot of products out there that promise to make your skin super-soft and clear. Picking the right products and sticking to your routine is key.
And did you know the order in which you use your products is extremely important for the effectiveness of skincare? The wrong order can make a product lose its power.
What products should you use and in what order?
1. Cleanser
2. Toner
3. Treat
4. Moisturizer
5. SPF
Do’s & Don’ts for acne prone skin:
❌ DON'T over-exfoliate or strip the skin of its natural oils to avoid irritated or overly sensitive skin.
✔️DO stick to your routine to achieve results
❌ DON’T use oils that contain high levels of saturated fats that might clog the pores.
✔️ DO use products with active ingredients such as salicylic acid, benzoyl-peroxide or retinol, which have antibacterial properties and remove the top layer of dead skin cells, which helps unclog pores and reduce breakouts.
